The contest was a blast with lots of family fun. My favorites were the youngest and oldest divisions. The kids were having so much fun and catching heaps of waves to boot. Parents were pushing them into little rollers that moved them along at amazingly slow speeds. Joe from Inlet Charlies pushed Saiorse into a bunch of well surfed waves and I think I caught her pulling a switch stance mid-ride on a wave (a maneuver Joe used in his division—like daughter, like father). Luke Schweizer got some sweet rides with some help from his dad David Kyle. It was nice to see families in the water together laughing, surfing and having fun.
