wabasso surf report & surf cam

Tuesday:  The wind field bringing us the mid week bump I talked about last week is forecast to pick up a little additional energy and swing a little further south in the Atlantic giving us a shot at a little bigger surf than forecast.  Winds turn onshore for Tuesday and build, especially north of the Cape building a round of 5-6 sec wind swell.  Northern Florida could see waist high 6 sec surf while south of the Cape may be blocked out and only see a little side swell.

Looking Ahead: The onshore winds ease to under 10 mph for Wednesday for most of the coast but northern most FL may still see onshore winds in the low teens.  We should have waist+ surf with lucky bigger sets from the NE at 8 sec for north of the Cape.  Some models are forecasting the potential for a little bigger size so keep an eye on the cams.  South of the Cape will likely be a notch smaller and may have to wait for the afternoon for the better part of the swell to fill in but should still see fo fun surf.  Stay tuned!
