melbourne beach surf break information

Spanish House at the southern tip of Melbourne Beach is best on low tide with scattered peaks and south west winds! Will hold swell up to 6 ft before closing out. Right and lefts with fast sections and tube rides.

At the southernmost point of the Space Coast is Sebastian Inlet, which attracts surfers by the thousands. The park is also known for its swimming areas, snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing. Sebastian Inlet State Park is just 12 miles south of Melbourne Beach and features ocean to River Park access encompassing the inlet and the Sebastian Inlet Bridge.

One of the most popular state parks in Florida, the Inlet provides camping opportunities as well as a small store, docking, canoeing, kayaking, Jet-skiing and powerboat rentals. Visitors will enjoy the tidal wading pool, picnicking, swimming, surfing, fishing, fishing bridges, jetties, and boat ramps. Campsites have water and electrical hook-ups, a fire-ring with grill and a picnic table. There are full restroom facilities, a dump station, laundry facilities and pay phones. For camping information and reservations, call 1.800.326.3521 or stop by the camping registration office located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet. For more information contact:

Sebastian Inlet State Park is one of the Atlantic’s hottest surfing destinations with monthly events, big-name surf camps and the Sebastian Inlet Pro, a five-star World Qualifying Series competition that draws some of the biggest names in surfing each January. Ranger-led boat tours are available to secluded Pelican Island and the gorgeous beach and fishing pier are considered to be some of the best fishing areas in the state.
