melbourne beach surf report
Friday: Knee to very lucky thigh high from ENE at around 6 sec. The swell angle is not helping the situation in most spots. Light NW winds swing to the north for the afternoon.
melbourne beach surf forecast
Weekend: We stay on the small side on Saturday. The next warm front passes over on Sunday shifting winds to the S/SE while the build to around 20 mph. Expect modest SE wind swell conditions with northern Fl seeing the best chance at some decent size at 7 sec from the SE.
Looking ahead: Expect SE AM leftovers, mostly for north of the Cape, as winds turn offshore for the morning cleaning things up for us. Winds shift more to the north and build late in the day adding some north wind swell chop in so getting on it early may be your best bet.
Models are predicting a fairly wide NE wind field building a good sized NE swell starting at around 7-8 sec from the NE on Tuesday with brisk NE winds. It looks like Wednesday may be a cleaner 10 sec leftovers day and worth keeping an eye on but it starts a downward trend for the rest of the week so be ready.
