melbourne beach surf report

Friday: Knee high with maybe a lucky bigger set at the better spots and tides. Swell is out of the east around 1.2 feet at 8 sec seconds, the primary size driver this morning. Winds are cross shore out of the SSW around 8 mph this morning, holding fairly steady into the afternoon at 5-9mph SSW, so conditions should stay relatively consistent through the day. Tides LT 10:08am, HT 4:56pm.

melbourne beach surf forecast

Weekend: Saturday: A touch smaller, shin high with occasional knee high sets out of the ESE at 8 seconds, but cross shore south winds 2-11mph keep conditions on the lower end. Tides HT 5:04am, LT 11:07am, HT 5:54pm.

Sunday: Sunday looks a little cleaner. Swell holds around shin to knee high at 8 seconds out of the ESE, and SW winds going offshore at 5-14mph should groom things nicely. Still small surf, but the cleaner shape should make it ridable for larger boards. Tides HT 6:03am, LT 12:06pm, HT 6:52pm.

Looking Ahead: Monday we are down to the small to near flat range as the swell dies out a little. We may see a little knee high bump for the mid week but other than that it’s looking to be in the shin to lucky knee high range at the moment.
