melbourne beach surf report

Wednesday: Knee high from the ENE at 9 sec with gentle south winds to start the day. Winds turn a little more SSE and build for the afternoon for the low tide adding a little wind swell size and chop for the afternoon.

melbourne beach surf forecast

Thursday:  Knee to lucky thigh from the E/SE at 7-8 sec with mostly south winds.  North of the Cape may see light offshore winds for the afternoon.

Looking ahead:   For Friday we have another front with strong NE winds filling in from the north kicking up some good sized but chunky wind swell by the end of the day.  Winds are forecast to turn S/SE on Saturday with good but chunky size at 7 sec. Look for those south protected spots.  We have a possible cleaner leftovers day on Sunday with brisk south morning winds turning offshore for the afternoon as a front passes over.
