Tuesday: Surf is staying knee to thigh high from the east with brisk onshore winds south of the Palm Coast. North Florida should see lighter winds and cleaner conditions. Looking ahead: Summer conditions continue for the rest of the week. We’ve got our first area of interest in the Atlantic—Invest 90L. It’s currently located about 600 miles east of Bermuda (roughly 1,500 miles off the Florida coast) with sustained winds near 35 mph. Given its distance, I'm not expecting much surf from this system. At the moment, it’s just north of the edge of the 80-degree water line but is tracking northeast. By Wednesday, it’ll likely move into cooler waters (around 70 degrees) it will also encounter a low-pressure front and that combination should cause the system to collapse midweek. So while it does have a very generous 70% chance of forming into a named storm according to the National Hurricane Center it probably won't last.
