indialantic surf report
Friday: We have a mix of longer period Nigel swell mixed in with local wind swell from the local low, Tropical storm 16. Expect waist with chest plus in the better spots but brisk N winds will be adding texture and with some chop. Winds are a little better in the AM but a north wind protected area is best.
indialantic surf forecast
Saturday: Mid period surf around 8-9 sec in the Waits + zone with some decent potential for chest and a few bigger sets in the better spots. Winds back off a bit but stay NW and turn onshore for the afternoon. South of the Cape is looking a little smaller but cleaner in the AM. Look for the south sides of Piers and Jetties for a bit of wind mitigation.
Sunday: Conditions drop off fast for Sunday back to the thigh with lucky bigger sets range. Winds are mostly onshore but gentle.
Looking ahead: Surf will trend on the smaller size for next week. Another wave with a decent chance of development has come off of Africa and it looks like it will follow Nigel’s lead and head up into the Atlantic. This may have some potential depending on how far east the track goes.

indialantic surf break information
The Indialantic Boardwalk can hold an 8ft swell and breaks way outside 200 yards or more! Big workable walls for the outside break and it can connect all the way to hollow shore pound with fast sections and gnarly tubes.
Indialantic stores and businesses cater to all the basic needs plus more exotic demands of its residents and visitors. Restaurants vary from fast food and family establishments to ethnic and gourmet dining. Swimming, fishing, boating and surfing are favorite pastimes. Threatened and endangered sea turtles nest along the shore from May through October and the recently refurbished boardwalk offers a place to stroll along the ocean and the parks throughout the town.
In 1975, a Town Council proclamation designated Indialantic a bird sanctuary and the town has taken measures since to protect its abundance of animal species and plant life. Indialantic remains a natural, unspoiled paradise which attracts visitors to its quiet beauty as a getaway from the faster pace of the big city.
Nearby Indian Harbour Beach grew as a residential community developed in support of the growing space industry on the Space Coast and is fairly small; only two square miles nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon.
Visitors can relax or picnic at beachfront parks or stroll through the 27-acre Gleason Park situated on a lake with many exercise paths, lighted in the early evening by quaint Victorian lights. The year-round heated pool located in the park next to the community center hosts classes and activities for people of all ages and the million-dollar sports field complex features tennis courts, baseball and soccer.
