The 15th Annual Sisters of the Sea Surf Classic will be held this weekend!
Check it out...one of the largest all-girl surf contests on the East Coast, will be held on September 7, 2013 at the southside of the Jacksonville Beach Pier, sponsored by Saltwater Cowgirls Surf Camp.
Sisters of the Sea is a non-profit organization established in 1997 for women surfers in Jacksonville, FL. The group was founded when 8 women came together for a surf session in Hanna Park. It was a sunny, glassy, waist high day and everyone had a blast. Since then, the group has grown steadily and to be quite large and in charge! The Sisters of the Sea is a group of women who love to surf. We encourage and support each other in and out of the water. Many, many strong friendships have developed as a result of the creation of this organization.
In addition, to date, we have donated over $55,000 to Bosom Buddies of the Women's Center in Jacksonville to help support those fighting the battle of breast cancer. Go away cancer!!!!!
