Another mango season is here, and the waves have been great! There has been swell most of the summer. The weather is beautiful, warm days and nice nights, with just enough evening and mauka rain to keep it right.
This week, there has been a high surf advisory in town all week, with light and variable winds. Today an off season north swell is filling in the North Shore. It is Hawaii Time!
The crowds are minimal and the prices are right. The recession has tourism and prices down. Pack a bag and come surf. Enjoy Oahu and the neighbor islands while you can!
If you can’t come now, plan your winter trip early. The Xcel Pro permits are still pending and may not be approved. The Women’s Triple Crown events on Oahu are cancelled, so the Triple Crowd will be minimal. Rent your houses on the North Shore now and get a deal! One that I have used is. If it is not available, There are many others and they know all of the best deals on the North Shore. My son and many Melbourne Beach locals have rented from them in the past.
Save and get ready for a trip to Hawaii. I think this winter will be one of the least crowded years, with good waves and good prices. See you soon!
