Hey It’s your good old Kapn’ Bone here with a little step out of the box Surf Movie review. Buddha and I headed up to our favorite seafood restaurant Rusty’s at the Port, it seems that Rhett Fisher is no one trick pony. He orcastrated a terrific Friday night event featuring surfer Tim Currans new movie “ Union Express” , Tim also preformed music from his second CD “ Verses”, for a pretty hefty crowd right out in front of Rusty’s. With the movie playing and the drinks flowing, Rhett seems to have it all figured out.
Views of the beach at sunset whiz by from the perspective of a passenger train window a unique approach to a surf movie, In the next shot a group of friends arrive at a fresh surf spot to ride large waves in the fading sunlight. Timmy Curran, riding up and down the California coast to explore surf spots with his buddies while traveling by train. A few local surfers were featured C.J. Hobgood, Cory Lopez and Rob Machado. Tim Curran is credited with the air revolution starting back in the nineties and perfecting “the flip” move that’s a base for a lot of the competitive surfing today. We want to thank Rhett for inviting us to this premier and look forward to coming back for another one soon.
