Taking Back Sunday! F.I.T. Homecoming

Taking Back Sunday! F.I.T. Homecoming

Concert Downtown Melbourne Florida

We would all like to take back Sunday again and again now wouldn't we? Sunday is that happy day for many of us...good spirits, good meals, football, friends, a day of peace and utter enjoyment. Well it's Friday evening folks, and it's the F.I.T. Homecoming...which means: Fun In Town! We had people of all ages (lots of teens surprisingly) come out in their Friday best to help support Taking Back Sunday, along with all the vendors that came to help make the show an interesting success here in Downtown Melbourne. Robert Deuterman is the man in charge once again with the talent, food, and most importantly...the beverages :) If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have all these amazing and FREE fun times here in Melbourne...Thanks Robbie!!! Check out www.deutermanproductions.com to see all the latest information for upcoming events! You never know, Surf Guru may just show up to do some live feed and broadcasting too!

The opening bands included some good old Dubstep, Boxelder, Moska project, and a D.J. from Colorado! Good thing all these acts kept us on our toes because TBS didn't take over the stage until 10:30pm! The Lead singer recently had a baby so he wasn't able to make the show, but an amazing fill-in did the job just fine. I can't describe how packed the streets were, but picture everyone like statues, not being able to move around the masses and you'll see what I'm talking about. The lines were long for beverages, but suprising short for food...hmmmmmm...priorities. Jersey Mikes was there representing. They cut the meat right off the bone in the shop so your sandwich could only be more fresh if they were hunting down the animals themselves. Speaking of which, my brother is out in Wyoming doing a little hunting...nothing like getting back to nature and living off the land. At least the animals are living freely before they are taken by the food chain in the circle of life...unlike a lot of the meat you buy in corporate stores sadly. Anyhow back to the show...it was a movin and groovin, mosh-pittin, jumpin up and down kinda night...and what better way to end your week right?

Along with the music we had some vendors, including Crazy Cuzs Cosmic Creations (www.crazycuzscc.com). This guy was a show himself, using spray paint, putty knives, and newspaper instead of guitars, microphones and drums. He had some techno music playing and a set up of some of his work for all to see, while he would put on a colorful show for anyone walking by. He literally turned a piece of paper into an imaginary galaxy within minutes! This just goes to show that live artists can be much more then just musicians on a stage. Expand your mind and your horizons by experiencing new things and trying new things...you never know where the road will take you but you do know it will always be a really righteous ride :) Start your journey today...
