Slightly Stoopid & Atmosphere Cocoa Beach Riverfront Park

More than just a concert...

You know you aren't in Miami anymore when you pull up to a concert and there are actually parking spots available...and it's FREE parking! Two young girls stepped out of their car next to us and told us we looked like fun and friendly beach people. They drove from Orlando to see the show. As we entered the gates we were greeted by easygoing staff. The Atmosphere was Tribal and hardly stupid. The vibration of the venue was sending a message of fun and freedom of expression. The diversity of music lovers ranged from young kids rolling around and playing in the grass to older couples dancing and enjoying life. There were quite a few boats anchored in the background of the park partying and catching a free show. Within an hour or so, the grass went from being peacefully green to becoming completely covered with colorful walks of life.

Upon entering the park there were some booths set up, but one in particular stood out among the others. It was a display of colorful and spiritual paintings accompanied by a talented artist named Chris Morphis. He told us a bit of his story and how he is touring with the band "Slightly Stoopid" and painting live art onstage during the performance. He is living the dream for artists and musicians alike by combining two creative art forms into one. He painted along with the beat of the music as the canvas came alive.

Herbal scents filled the air as the sun went down. The opening band, "Tribal Seeds", set the tone. The variety of instruments was as immense as the dreads on the heads of the musicians and crowd alike. Following "Tribal Seeds" was the rapper "Atmosphere". His message really drew in the fans with positive lyrics which everyone seemed to know. Finally as the night grew darker, light was shed as "Slightly Stoopid" took the stage and brought everyone together. Sweetwater 420 flowed freely from the taps as people talked, danced and laughed at this amazing show. Slightly Stoopid & Atmosphere Cocoa Beach Riverfront Park
