Port Fest 2009 was a great success! Weather was warm and sunny! The food and drinks kept everyone happy all day and into the night! Our new Surfguru street team with the Guru Girls made an appearance with Ava showing up early for some cold drinks and to check out the scene. We made our way from Milliken's Reef all the way down to Grills with a few stops in between to check out Rusty's and Fishlips. Once we started back to Milliken's Tina and Jen a couple more our Guru Girl's hooked up with us to join the party! Everywhere at the port was rocking with music, face painting, food and also a shrimp eating contest and a bunch more activities planned through out the night.

The Port Canaveral Association, is a non-profit organization that helps market local businesses located in the heart of the Space Coast. The port is home to the Disney Cruise Lines, SunCruz Casinos, deep-sea fishing, charter boating and specialty shopping. Port Canaveral also caters to tourists as well as locals with a variety of fine dining restaurants and live entertainment. Kennedy Space Center is just minutes from the port and is a perfect location to view space launches. The association hosts the annual Port Fest.

This year in cooperation and sponsorship with the American Cancer Society we have added to the lineup of events the Port Canaveral Pink Ribbon 5k Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Association members consist of business owners in and around the port area. We host a number of events throughout the year with these objectives in mind.
Promote the development of tourism by expanding Port Canaveral's reputation as an entertainment destination recognized as providing events attracting broad based participation.
Involve as many people from the community; keeping the community informed of progress in planning events and welcoming suggestions and ideas.
Encourage participation by port businesses and association members by serving as a platform to promote these businesses as much as possible.
