WHAT'S NEW?
Greetings friends! It's been months since we reach out and for that we sincerely apologize. It has been a wild, crazy, busy year!
1st off, we hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to spend it with your family, friends and loved ones. It is a special time of year and regardless of the historical significance, it is wonderful to take time out to give thanks to the blessings we have received throughout the year.
Since our last update we have been busy traveling all over the world on the CALI-HI WORLD TOUR 2011. We had a great time touring the states rocking unforgettable shows in some of our favorite places like: Reggae on the River in Humboldt County, Reggae on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, Texas Hippie Connection In Seabrook, and Earthdance in Hawaii.
We have also joined forces with the United States Military and now have the pleasure of entertaining the troops all over the world! We had an AMAZING time in Japan and Guam in 2011 and look forward to performing for the troops on New Years Eve in Diego Garcia, a small tropical island located in the Indian Ocean.
In the midst of all of this touring we have also been working hard on the release on the new double album "CAMP FIRE". The "CAMP" disk will feature crowd favorites like "I See You" and "Earthquake". We feel like this collection of songs makes you want to sit around a warm fire and share some laughs with good friends. The "FIRE" disk will feature explosive remixes that are perfect for any party, club, or dancehall. Look for songs produced and remixed by groundbreaking DJ's and producers like DJ AZ Redsmoke and J-Beats!
One of the things that we are most excited about updating you on is a few new additions to the group.
The first is the addition of Nick Santana on Lead Guitar and vocals. Nick, who has played with such greats as The Holdup, Anthony B, Jah Sun and many more, is an incredibly talented guitar player and an all around great guy. One fan was noted saying "He left me with goose bumps after his solo". His style is a combination of his influences, as varied as Steel Pulse, Bob Marley, Sade, Dr. Dre and Luther Vandross.
The second is the addition of The California Kidd, a fiercely lyrical Hip-Hop emcee hailing from Northern California. The California Kidd is promoting the recent release of his solo album "I'm That Guy" and the upcoming release of his second solo album "Chasing Dreams" in May of 2012. Look for The California Kidd on upcoming tours and on "CAMP FIRE".
You can catch us live this week on Thursday, December 1st, at the Town Pump in Yuba City, CA.
Then it's PARTY time! Our annual celebration of Katherine & cootdog's Bday bashes in the hometown: CHICO, CA!
As you may know, Friday Dec 2nd is Katherine's Bday and we will be raging at LaSalle's for 21+.
Then at Midnight it becomes "Holiday December Tre" and we celebrate cootdog's BDAY Saturday night at The Kappa Sigma house on 5th & Ivy .(ALL AGES)
So come on out to Chico, CA this Friday or Saturday night and share a bday shot with Katherine or cootdog!

Make sure you check our tour dates frequently as new shows are added daily. In addition to many shows all over California look for the MRB crew to hit some of our favorite places in 2012 including Colorado, Texas, Arizona, and Hawaii. Also look for us Internationally in places like Europe and Japan.
Lastly, we'd like to big up some of the other artists and bands we had the pleasure of rocking with including Marty Dread, Collie Buddz, New Kingston, The Expendables, J-Boog, Top Shelf, and Ugly Lion just to name a few.

The underground classic album that has gained MRB fans all over the world, "Constant Struggle,"
is still selling in stores nationwide! And it's been updated with 4 BRAND NEW BONUS TRACKS - one of which includes reggae legend, Barrington Levy!
That's right, on "Constant Struggle," you can hear MRB in collaboration with the one and only Barrington Levy. The track is an old Barrington song, "Teach The Youths," done MRB style. Mystic Roots' own cootdog goes back and forth with Mr. Levy, and it came out IRIE.
