“IRATION” PRESS PACK/RELEASE’08

With influences stretching through multiple genres, Iration's style defies categorization. They have called their sound 'New Roots', taking roots reggae and giving it a modern twist. Elements of dub stand at the forefront of Iration's sound. Joe Dicken’s and Adam Taylor's rhythmic drum and bass are mixed with Micah Pueschel’s and Catlin Peterson’s rocking guitars along with Cayson' Peterson’s distinctive keyboard/synth. The music is dubbed by Joe King to create Iration's signature sound. Three vocalists, Catlin Peterson, Kai Rediske, and Micah Pueschel, give each song its own unique feeling ranging from reggae/dub to rock and pop. They have proven to truly have an understanding of modern and traditional performance techniques that keep crowds of fans’, both younger and older, hands in the air and heads bobbing, along those females’ hips gyrating. These Hawaiian raised naturally talented musicians look forward to spreading their original sound, aloha spirit, and cutting edge (surf) culture as far as possible and will continue to make original music. Iration's first full length album release No Time for Rest was recorded at Castaway 7 studios with engineer/co-producer JP Hesser. It was mastered at the legendary Lion and Fox Studios by Mike Caplan (Groundation, SOJA). The album includes guest appearances by Mikey Dread and Dub Nasty from the Pepper Posse.

Iration has performed with acts such as Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, Steel Pulse, Don Carlos, The Expendables, The English Beat, Yellowman, Mikey Dread, Katchafire, Natural Vibrations, Soja, Shwayze ft: Cisco Adler, Rocky Duwani and Ooklah the Moc
