ROSELAND — Local citizens are banding together to tackle litter in and around the St. Sebastian River, as part of the National River Cleanup 2010.
The Friends of St. Sebastian River, along with the help of volunteers from Keep Indian River Beautiful and the Sebastian Property Owners Association will conduct a river cleanup with the help of more than 100 volunteers on April 3.
National River Cleanup, sponsored by American Rivers, is a series of community-based stream cleanups happening nationwide. This popular annual event raises public awareness of the magnitude of trash accumulating in our nation’s waterways.
