January 23, 6:30 PM    Star Party hosted by the Indian River Astronomical Society, at the Day Use Area, located ½ mile south of the Sebastian Inlet bridge, on the east side of A1A.  Powerful telescopes provided or bring your own.

January 30, 7 to 9 PM    Night Sounds at Sebastian Inlet Concert Series with Friction Farm
Recording artists, Christine Stay and Aidan Quinn are known as Friction Farm.  Friction Farm's music is a mix of country, folk and pop blended into a seamless package.  The concert will be at the pavilions on Coconut Point, located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet, over looking the water.  The concert is free, normal park entrance fees apply. www.frictionfarm.com 

February 13, 10 AM    How to Fish Sebastian Inlet and Surrounding Waters, with Captain
             Nick Price & Josh Beckett at Pavilion 4.   Learn which bait to use, when & where to fish, fishing gear recommendations and fishing etiquette.

February, 20  9-11AM Healthy Floridians Nature Walk This is a four mile long interpretive
            walk that starts at Coconut Point on the south side of Sebastian Inlet.  The walk goes along the side of Sebastian Inlet, Indian River Lagoon and Atlantic Ocean.

February 27,         Night Sounds at Sebastian Inlet Concert Series with Trilogy
7 to 9 PM         A mix of all kinds of acoustic music including folk, rhythm and blues, country,  50, 60 and 70’s for everyone to enjoy.  The concert will be at the pavilions on Coconut Point, located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet, over looking the water.  The concert is free, normal park entrance fees apply.

March 5 to 14        Surf Fest 2010 surf contests 
            The Surf Fest will be three surf contests.  The first ever Surfing America Prime series event to be held in Florida, a Grade 5 Junior Pro (the biggest in North America and Europe).  This will be a two-day event.  The Collegiate Surfing Association will hold Florida State and East Coast Championships, which will include about 15 colleges and universities battling for the East Coast title.  This will be a two day event.  The U.S. Masters Professional Championship; an invitational event that will feature America’s best and most iconic surfers age 40 and over.  A live web cast will be on www.go211.com

Recording artist, Tracy Sands was born in a small village in County Down, Ireland.  Tracy is a traditional Irish singer and a contemporary Irish vocalist, with a sweet soprano voice.  The concert will be at the pavilions on Coconut Point, located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet, over looking the water.  The concert is free, normal park entrance fees apply.

April 7 to April 11    National Scholastic Surfing Association Southeastern championship surf contest.  The best N.S.S.A. surfers in the southeast compete for a spot in the national championship surf contest.  www.nssa.org

April 24, 7 to 9 PM    Night Sounds at Sebastian Inlet Concert Series with Tammerlin and recording artists Mary-Lou.  Recording artists, Lee Hunter and Arvid Smith, known as Tammerlin have been placing their own stamp on folk/root music since 1992.  Tammerlin’s five CDs have clever, thoughtful original songs and traditional tunes. Mary-Lou is a two person group from France who play country-folk songs. Their music is a unique and sweet synthesis between popular American music and French songs. Mary-Lou has been playing together for 14 years with more than 1,200 concerts and they have recorded six albums.  The concert will be at the pavilions on Coconut Point, located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet, over looking the water.  The concert is free, normal park entrance fees apply.  www.tammerlin.com

April 27 to 29        National Surf League High School Cup surf contest.  Watch the best Central Florida High School surfing teams complete to become the local champion.  The winning team is invited to surf in the national championship in California.  www.nslsurf.com

June & July         Sea Turtle Walks.  Learn about Florida’s giant sea turtles and maybe see a nesting Loggerhead sea turtle on a park ranger led tour.  Reservations     for the month of June will be taken on May 15, starting at 8 AM.                Reservations for the month of July will be taken on June 15, starting at
