AwwwwRight NCFLers- The 2013 ESA South Eastern Regional Surfing Championships start Thursday (tomorrow) @ NSB Inlet

AwwwwRight NCFLers-
The 2013 ESA South Eastern Regional Surfing Championships start Thursday (tomorrow) @ NSB Inlet and will wrap-up on Sunday. I am headed to the Inlet this morning to set-up scaffold and sponsor tents. If you are available, we could always use the extra muscle to facilitate in the construction of the contest site, and besides, it's a great excuse to get a session in before we take over the peak. The NCFL is proud to be hosting the
SERSC again this year, and it looks like we'll have waves throughout the entire event as NSB Inlet always seems to come thru! We will be setting up a tent for NCFL so that we can all hang out together and encourage each  other before our heats, camaraderie my friends, it's the backbone of our district. This is where we take the individual accomplishments of our athletes and turn them into our "TEAM" success. We almost dominated last year and I am looking forward to a repeat, if not an improvement of last years  performances. Bring your "A" game! I will be available to you if you have any questions before your heat and/or need advice, or just a good 'ole motivational pep talk. This is our back yard, let's take it to 'em NCFL!!!! Keep it clean and remember your good sportsmanship.
Last weekends ESA/NCFL #2 Daytona Christian Surfers "Spring Fling" was a great event. Thank you to all who participated and helped out! It looks like they want us onboard for all their future events and we are all expecting great things to come from this partnership. Results and points will be posted on our esancfl.org website in the near future, right now we are just waiting for some of our new (and old) members to get their  ESA membership current so that we can start giving out points. While we are on the subject of points, we are requiring you to judge a percentage of heats to receive your points, it's called "giving back". It may not seem fair to some of you, but this is your district to help polish and maintain as well. We tried to get "volunteers" to help judge at events and it just didn't work. I've noticed mostly the youth divisions not participating in judging, you all need to learn how to judge, it's a huge part of competition surfing and we will be looking for you to step up in future events. The qualified experienced judges will help all those who need a lesson in judging. There is also a judging course on the surfesa.org website and I can provide you with a copy of it as well if you ask me for it.
Registration for ESA/NCFL contest #3 is "open" on our esancfl.org website. "Late Fee" will be charged for beach entries. Encourage your friends to join the ESA and be a part of the NCFL family. As always, I will send out a NCFL Newsletter before the event so that all of you can stay informed and updated. If you think you know a business that might benefit from being a NCFL sponsor point them in our direction. Tell them to check out our district's website, as well as the ESA website. There is a whole bunch of talent out there that we haven't tapped into yet, guys and girls who should be competing along with us, surfers that we need to sent to a National Championship to represent our area and that will make us all surf better. In the meantime, come cheer on the NCFL Team this week @ "Regionals"! There will be a live stream of the contest on the surfesa.org website, pass it on! To all of the NCFL Team: Get some good rest, put the right "fuel" in your body, focus on the task at hand and take it 1 heat at a time, watch a whole bunch of video these next couple of days, contest video is the best,(like some ASP footage), stay loose and relaxed, and then show up early to watch the conditions of the ocean, and then RIP!!!!!!
