sebastian inlet surf report

Monday: Small to flat in most spots. Gentle offshore winds picking up for the afternoon. It’s a perfect day for a little beach fishing but keep an eye on the weather forecast because we have a few storms rolling through.

sebastian inlet surf forecast

Tuesday:  We have strong North winds and wind swell to start the day which will be dropping off by the afternoon.  There may be a few leftovers after the winds die down for breaks that can handle a North swell but keep your expectations tempered.

Looking ahead:  Surf will drop off for Wednesday and Thursday.  We have another front passing over on Friday that will be kicking off another round of wind swell for the weekend.

Next week is looking promising in some of the long range models so stay tuned.

sebastian inlet surf break information

At the southernmost point of the Space Coast is Sebastian Inlet, which attracts surfers by the thousands. The park is also known for its swimming areas, snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing. Sebastian Inlet State Park is just 12 miles south of Melbourne Beach and features ocean to River Park access encompassing the inlet and the Sebastian Inlet Bridge.

Did you know you could see Monster Hole on this cam? Monster Hole is best on a north swell and can hold a solid 10ft surf mostly long workable lefts with some speedy sections. Rights can be short and hollow.

The premier saltwater fishing spot on Florida's east coast, this park is a favorite for anglers nationwide for catching snook, redfish, bluefish, and Spanish mackerel from its jetties. Surfing is also a popular recreation and several major competitions are held here every year. Two museums provide a history of the area. The McLarty Treasure Museum features the history of the 1715 Spanish treasure fleet; the Sebastian Fishing Museum tells the history of the area's fishing industry. Three miles of beautiful beaches provide opportunities for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, shelling, and sunbathing. Canoeing and kayaking in the Indian River Lagoon are also favorite pastimes. Visitors can relax with a stroll down the mile-long Hammock Trail. Waterfront pavilions and picnic areas are great for family outings. Full-facility campsites and a boat ramp are available. Located on State Road A1A 15 miles south of Melbourne Beach.  For more information check out the Sebatian Inlet page on the Florida State Parks site.

One of the most popular state parks in Florida, the Inlet provides camping opportunities as well as a small store, docking, canoeing, kayaking, Jet-skiing and powerboat rentals. Visitors will enjoy the tidal wading pool, picnicking, swimming, surfing, fishing, fishing bridges, jetties, and boat ramps. Campsites have water and electrical hook-ups, a fire-ring with grill and a picnic table. There are full restroom facilities, a dump station, laundry facilities and pay phones. For camping information and reservations, go to the Florida State Parks Sebastian inlet Camping Page or stop by the camping registration office located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet.
