Weekend beach outlook July 26th

Surf Forecast:

East Coast: On Saturday we are down a notch to the knee high range from the east at 7-8 sec with gently southerly winds. For Sunday we go down to the 1-2’ range at 7-8 sec from the east with light morning offshore winds clocking around to onshore but staying gentle in most spots.

Southern East Coast: Onshore winds continue for Saturday but begin to ease dropping off the wind swell size with it.  By Sunday we are back to 1 foot conditions.

Gulfsters: Staying small to flat with mostly offshore winds.

Panhandle: Winds back off but remain onshore for Saturday dropping off size a notch.  Winds ease and turn offshore for Sunday morning dropping surf to the 1 foot range.  Winds turn SW later in the day and build a bit.

Weather:

The East Coast is looking nice with clear skies and high 80’s.

The Gulf Coast will be warmer, around 90 degrees, with clear skies on Saturday and a low chance of afternoon rain on Sunday.

The Panhandle will be in the high 80’s and have higher rain chances on Saturday but looks like it will be  sunny on Sunday.

Beaches:

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend and we are starting to get to the tail end of summer break so expect crowded beaches.  Arrive early for a better chance at parking.

Be sure to bring plenty of cold drinks and pack the sun screen because it’s going to be a hot one!  Surf is on the smaller side so we should have green flag conditions on both coast, but as always check the local lifeguards.
The beaches look clean for the most part with just a little seaweed at the high tide lines.   We have gentle breezes most of the weekend which should help with the heat but not enough to blow away properly secures tent and umbrellas.
