MC Chris: Making Geek Culture Cool.

MC Chris: Making Geek Culture Cool.

Touring Florida this week!  Check below for dates and Tickets!

MC Chris is a genre-defying artist who helped pioneer nerdcore—a subgenre of hip-hop that fuses geek culture with rap swagger. MC Chris has carved out a unique space in pop culture as a rapper, voice actor, comedian, and writer.

MC Chris began his career behind the scenes at Adult Swim, contributing as a writer, animator, and voice actor for cult classics like Sealab 2021, The Brak Show, and most famously, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, where he voiced the unforgettable MC Pee Pants. His high-pitched voice and offbeat humor became a signature, earning him a loyal fanbase.

But it was his transition to music that truly set him apart. He brought Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars, and video game references into the lyrical spotlight, making nerdiness not just acceptable—but celebrated.

He weaves skits throughout each album, making a continuous storyline that flows seamlessly from one album to the next. It gives his entire discography the feel of a single, epic album. I picked up his USB card, which includes all his tracks plus a bonus folder filled with skits which is perfect for road trips.

MC Chris’s music is unapologetically niche, yet universally relatable. He’s had his music appear in everything from a Honda commercial featuring his song Hoodie Ninja and animated shows to performing at the Warped Tour.

Whether he’s rapping about Boba Fett or voicing an animated character, MC Chris continues to be a beacon for anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider.

MC Chris has a treasure trove of nerdcore anthems.  These songs showcase his signature blend of geeky references, humor, and rapid-fire delivery.  A few of my favs are:

  • "Fett’s Vette" – A love letter to Boba Fett, this track is arguably his most iconic, blending Star Wars lore with slick rhymes.
  • "IG-88’s ’57 Chevy" – Another Star Wars-inspired jam, this one’s all about the bounty hunter IG-88.
  • "Pizza Butt" – A quirky, comedic ode to everyone’s favorite cheesy indulgence.
  • "I Want Candy" –  The song that started it all from Aqua Teen Hunger Force
