Kelly Slater Wave Co Wave Pool Comes to Florida

It’s been over a year since local legend Kelly Slater unveiled the largest, most advanced wave pool in the world sending waves of new possibilities through the sport of Surfing. The amazingly consistent and authentic wave soon drew the attention of the World Surf League and captured the imagination of the entire surfing community. Kelly Slater Wave Co has now set their sights on Slater's home State of Florida.
The Kelly Slater Wave Company filed a zoning application with Palm Beach County earlier this year to build a park in Palm Beach Park of Commerce’s industrial zone. This week represented the first milestone to that goal as Palm Beach County commissioners unanimously approved zoning for the wave park on Thursday. With construction slated to start in 2018 the park should be opening in 2019!
