Hurricane Larry swell is coming

While it is still far out in the Atlantic, as of September 2
nd at 11 am Larry officially became a hurricane. Larry will have a very good chance of becoming a Major Hurricane over the weekend as it moves North through the Atlantic. While there is a very low chance of Larry making landfall in Florida the warm waters and lack of sheer should allow it to build substantially making for a very powerful storm.
Larry’s track looks to be on point for generating an excellent Hurricane swell as it continues to strengthen. It looks like local winds will also be favorable making for excellent surfing conditions. Long range modeling predicts the swell will first reach Florida Tuesday and build through Wednesday-Thursday.
