Florida Surf Report/Forecast and Tropical Outlook for August 21st 2024

Atlantic Surf Report and Forecast

Wednesday:  Knee to lucky thigh at 9 sec from the ENE.   Summer wind patterns SW to start the day switching to SE later in the day.  North Florida will see NE winds pick up as the day goes on adding some additional shorter period swell into the mix.

Thursday:  Knee high waves continue for most of the Coast.  North Florida will be getting NE winds and a mixed swell that could be in the waist zone but choppy.

Looking ahead:  We have a small trade swell in the water building on Friday and sticking around for the weekend.  It’s probably going to be in the thigh zone at around 7-8 sec but it could be ridable in the better spots.  After that, we have smaller leftovers for the start of next week.
