Florida Surf Report/Forecast and Tropical Outlook for August 19th 2024

Atlantic Surf Report and Forecast

Monday:  The Ernesto swell is still in the water this morning.  We’re seeing waist-high waves with occasional bigger sets coming in fairly consistently, though you might need to wait a bit for the right one. The swell direction is ENE at about 11 seconds, with SW winds shifting to the south later in the day. Expect a few chest-high sets at the better spots.

Tuesday:  We should still have plenty of surf in the water to start the day but size will be on a downward trend, dropping back to normal summer time conditions by the mid-week.

Looking ahead: We are back to knee to thigh for the rest of the week with a little trade winds bump for the weekend as an area of High pressure emerges from the East coast and heads out into the Atlantic.

Tuesday:  Back to smaller conditions.  W3e are small to flat across the region.

Looking ahead:
Not much going on for the rest of the week.  We may see a little wind swell bump this weekend.
