Florida Surf Report/Forecast and Tropical Outlook for July 17th 2024

Atlantic Surf Report and Forecast

Wednesday:  Back to a little smaller conditions.  Mostly knee high with a few lucky bigger sets out there from the East at 8 sec.  South winds turn ESE by the afternoon.

Thursday:   Knee high with a few lucky bigger sets from the East at 8 sec.  South winds turn SE by the afternoon.

Looking ahead:  It looks like we will be in the knee with lucky bigger sets zone for Friday and into the weekend.  Summer wind patterns persist staying cleaner for the mornings and then shifting on shore for the afternoons.  We could see a little extra size for Sunday afternoon and Monday.   If conditions line up and the winds don’t mess things up for us we may have a fun little mixed swell next week.

Tropics and Hurricane Forecast
Not too much currently.  There is a  wave of energy in the Atlantic but it’s going to stay to the South and has a very low chance of formation.  There is another wave projected to head into the Atlantic on Sunday but it looks like it will follow a similar route and lack the conditions necessary for formation.

Have a great one!  - Bryan
