Father's Day Weekend Outlook

Father's Day Weekend Outlook

Surf Forecast:

East Coast: Knee to thigh high with lucky bigger sets from the east at 7 sec with light morning south winds building for the end of the day.  This may give us just a touch of extra size for the afternoons/evenings.

Southern East Coast: SE winds build to the low teens keeping the knee to thigh high 4 sec SE wind swell going.

Gulfsters: Similar conditions to Friday but we are on a downward trend and are going flat by Sunday.

Panhandle: Small scale winds swell to start on  Saturday.  We should have  a little knee high 6-8 sec south swell filling in as the day goes on and sticking around for Sunday.  Nothing huge but it should be ridable with a bigger board.

Weather:

We will be partly cloudy and in the high 80’s with a chance for isolated storms.  Be sure to pack the sunscreen because we are in the extreme summer UV days.  South to SE winds in the mid teens will keep a nice breeze going but you want to keep some extra tie downs for the tens and secure your umbrellas.

Beaches:

Expect the normal size crowds for a nice summer weekend on Saturday so you may want to plan on getting to the beach early for a good parking spot.  Sunday is Father’s day so expect packed beaches as families take Dad out for a nice day at the beach.

Happy Father’s day and enjoy your weekend!!!
