E.A.R.T.H. Awareness is Entertainers Against Ruining Their Home, is a 501c3 non profit, We are a group of entertainment industry professionals, dedicated to the preservation of creative outlets and natural experiences for the youth of Central Florida. E.A.R.T.H. Awareness was created to promote quality family time in a natural setting, with programs in music, art, drama, planet-protecting education, and fun.
On September 24th the City of Cape Canaveral will be hosting the Space Coast Music Festival, a benefit for E.A.R.T.H. Awareness’s music in the schools program. Aside from the big stage talent and the beautiful waterfront setting, the event will feature a renowned and diverse array of critically acclaimed art, craft and food vendors, a silent auction, kids activities and an Eco friendly awareness village to celebrate National Public Lands Day featuring Keep Brevard Beautiful, Save The Manatees and more.
2 stages of continuous music will feature top notch talent filling the day with great music. The Bone Dogs, Danny Morris Band, Mo Geetz, The MC’s, The Gilroy’s, Overload, The Queen Bees, Zen Again, The Tourist, Vince Baldino, Dave Grooms, Jon Parrot, Tina Eno and Chris McCune are all scheduled to perform.
The organization raises funds to help with "The Stephen Miller Music in The Schools Program", a direct-to-teacher classroom supply program for music programs in Central Florida schools. We make lasting memories of fun educational experiences, and teach families and children how to make a creative difference for the future. The preservation of roots music is a key component to E.A.R.T.H.'S programs. EARTH has donated over $50,000 in Musical Instruments and Equipment to Brevard County Title 1 Elementary Schools since 2005. Title 1 schools are schools which have a minimum of 50% of the students on subsidized lunch. These schools are in major need of instruments for their music programs. The music teachers receive a minimal budget of .50 per student per year for music instruments & supplies. Help us help these wonderful schools. To date we have provided instruments to Harbor City Elementary, Palm Bay Elementary, University Park Elementary and Golfview Elementary. Previous recipient music teachers have also used the instruments for at risk youth after school programs also. The school for 2011- 2012 school year and the recipient teacher of this years benefit is Cape View Elementary School in Cape Canaveral.
