March 12, 2013-Press release Marleys take over of Kulcha Shok's Reggae Sundays

Greetings Friend

March 12, 2013-Press release Marleys take over of Kulcha Shok's Reggae Sundays

Kulcha Shok's Reggae Sundays aka 'Church' got a surprise visit from the Marley clan after they made guest appearances at Ziggy Marley's performance at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival on South Beach.

The Ghetto Youths International family 'Set Up Shop' at Jazid just after their brothers performance and dropped in on the Kulcha Shok krew on Sunday Feb 24 for a surprise visit. It was literally an 'Ambush in the Night' as the 27th was the official release of their new compilation album 'Set Up Shop Vol 1.' Reggae Sundays witnessed world premieres from the album, special guests Julian Marley & Jo Mersa, live performances and what could be called the Ghetto Youths Int'l sound system as Damien Marley took control of the mic as the MC/host of this unofficial albumrelease/listening party at 'CHURCH.' Stephan Marley was the selector and 'Reggae Sundays' got the treat of a lifetime. The Ghetto Youths family basically played, pulled up, premiered & debuted the whole cd alongside the Kulcha Shok krew's Lance-O, Mello-D, ODM & guests Galaxy, Shyne J, CRoy, Exit & Boriquen Rockers. Oh what a night and a night of vibes.

Their session started around 11pm with the full album being played and an occassional sing over by either Damien or Stephan on the many songs they have on the new 'Set Up Shop Vol 1' cd. Once the album concluded, Kulcha SHok selector Mello-D dropped foundation riddims that Damien & Stephan Marley enjoyed singing their favorite songs that included a duo of Stephan's 'No Cigarette Smoke in a the Room' & Damien Marley's 'Affairs of the Heart.' This was the peak of the night & performance. The video captures apart of this song. The soundcloud audio has the complete session while mixcloud has a sample audio of the night.
