Island Fish Grill Indialantic Food Review

Kapn Bone Food Review

Arrhbeedarrh, Life’s pretty good and why wouldn’t it be. This is your good old Kapn’ Bone here with this weeks food review. Islands Fish Grill was our destination tonight

located right on 5Th. Avenue in Indialantic. With Buddha and our very own Bronze Aussie Warrick along we strolled in and were greeted by James the Manager and

Maitre d‘ of the restaurant, Quinny to all of his good friends escorted Us to the VIP area in the back room. Nicole who was our lovely server this evening, came armed

with three cold Klick beers and some chips and crusty baguettes.

We liked the fact that Quinny dialed us in by doing all of the ordering for our table from the wonderful bottle of Pinot Noir all the way to the five deserts but more on

those later. We started off with two appetizers . The first was a Panko Crusted Shrimp with a Mandarin style sauce. And the second, a suggestion from Nicole, Spicy

Mussels in Garlic and Tomatoes. We really enjoyed the shrimp, crunchy and snappy fresh complemented by the light sweet glaze. Next the Spicy Mussels. This was a

spicy Fra Diablo sauce. I can’t begin to tell you how good this dish was with the fresh tomatoes and big chunks of garlic the fresh bread and the wonderful wine, I could

have not been more satisfied .

I could have called it a night but I’m glad we stayed around. Our entrées arrived, the first thing that you notice is the presentation of these wonderful dishes, they

show you what a strong chef they have in the back of the house. We were treated to the three specials of the night A Spicy Mango Glazed Snapper topped with

Shrimp, Sea Bass in the Weeds and a house classic Onion and Garlic encrusted Grouper. All came with there famous Island Potatoes and Mixed Island Vegetables. With

our dinner Quinny brought a bottle of Shiraz to compliment the meal. We put everything in the middle of the table and dove in! The Snapper was delicious with a firm

and spicy flavor, very good size portion.

The next dish we tried was the Onion Garlic Encrusted Grouper. It was such a firm and juicy piece of Grouper, I can’t remember the last time I had a fresher fish. And

last but not least the “Sea Bass in the Weed’s” This was like a knock out punch. The favorite at the table this night, the sea bass combined with the spinach and scallops

on top took us to a better place. It was a work of art for the palate to enjoy.

On to Dessert! Again rather than trying to make us pick our desserts Quinny brought out one of each. A fresh key lime pie (The real deal) A chocolate fudge cake,

Guava Cheese cake, Coconut Carmel pie and a terrific Crème’ Brule. Everyone of these desserts was fabulous It would be unfair to pick one out. We have been doing

this food review for a while but we have never been treated with this much Aloha. We want to thank everyone at Islands Fish Grill. Karen the Owner James (Quinny)

our Maitre d and the sweet Nicole congratulations on your degree! If your looking to have a exceptional dinning experience this is the place but make sure you give

them a call for a reservation and that your good old Kapn’ Bone sent you. We will see you next week Kapn’ Bone Out.
