(04/02) Well with all the winds that we have been getting the fishing has been difficult. The water is dirty. The water Temp. is near 73 degrees. Inshore- Try fishing under some docks in the morning and evenings for Trout, Redfish and occasional Snook. The Snook bite at the Inlet has been improving. Best bet is live Pinfish or Croakers. I had a couple of great nights this past week. Offshore- Well lets just say the Cobia would be good if the winds weren't blowing. If it doesn't clean up soon, it will go right into Dolphin season. For the weekend, the weather looks good for fishing offshore or Inshore. Have a safe weekend and Tight lines!

(03/21) Inshore- Water temps. have been coming up. The water is around 71 to 72 degrees. There has been some Trout action on the flats. I like a Carolina rig with the new penny color grub. With the winds blowing hard it has been a little rough for fishing. Offshore is out of the question for a few days. When it cleans up, be ready because there should be some weeds and debris blown in. That is good for the Triple Tail and the Cobia.

(03/12) Hello Capt. Eric here. Back from the Rocky Mountains. I been back for a week and have been fishing a few times. The weather has been warming a lot. The water Temp. is in the 70’s now. That is great news! Cobias are all ready being caught in good numbers. Triple Tails are on every piece of debris out there, well almost. Bottom fishing has been slowing down. There are still a few reports of good Snapper catches. Inshore- The Snook are beginning to feed again. The Big Reds are in there at night. Pompano are around as well, best chance is along the beaches. The weather should be nice through the weekend.

(02/16) Capt. Eric here, Letting you know what to expect for the next two weeks! I will be hitting the mountains in Colorado, boarding it up. So the fishing should turn on! The weather has been warming nicely and the water temp has been rising with it. Offshore- The bottom has been fair with the right spot the Snapper are feeding. Look for the Cobia to start showing up under the Rays. All we need is for the water temp to come up a few more degrees. Inshore- If it continues to warm the Snook should start be active again as well. The Reds are all ready starting to move and feed again. Well, good luck and remember you have to put a line in the water in order to catch that biggie. Next report will be in two weeks!!! I am out!!!

(02/11) Hey Capt. Eric here again with your Sebastian Area fishing report and forecast. Inshore- The water temp. is still in the low 60's and slowly warming up. Hopefully not much more cold. The fish have been lazy and hard to find. Some small Jacks and occasional small Trout on the flats near the Inlet. As for the Inlet itself, it's been slow. It is hit or miss on the Reds and Snook. Bluefish are still around, but even they are becoming hard to find. Offshore- The bottom has been slow as well. The water Temp. at the bottom is extremely cold. If you can get on the right spot were you mark some fish and life, fish that spot for a bit and if no luck then move on. The Snapper and Grouper bite has been tough, but if you get on the right rock and there feeding then you can have a good day. Weekend Forecast- Look for the seas to come down in size, the NOAA forecast is for 1-2ft. seas. Should be a good weekend. Get out there and fish because even if the bite is slow at least you are fishing and one thing that is guaranteed is that you can't catch nothing without a line in the water.

(02/06) Hey, Capt. Eric here. The weather has been below average. Coming off of the coldest weeks I have seen in years. The water temp. is still in the low 60's. The weather is suppose to be warming up over the weekend and into early next week. We will see. Offshore- The bottom bite has been fair with some reports Snapper in the 90 ft range. If we get some warmer weather look for the Cobia to start coming up to the surface following the Manta Rays. It happens every year around this time. So be ready! Inshore- The Bluefish have been thick around the mouth of the inlet. Snook and Reds have been hiding because of the freezing temps. Your best bet would be in the back country canals in the mud. Also should be some Trout looking for warmth. Snook season is now open! Good luck! Check out Whitey's Bait and Tackle on the way to the inlet, they have all your needs in order to catch fish!

(01/28) well the weather has been beautiful. The fishing is hit or miss.The water Temp. is 64 degrees. Inshore- The inlet has Bluefish everywhere, you cant miss near the mouth. A lot of small jacks around the back. Reds are occasional at night. The bite has been really short. There are Pompano around but for some reason it's been difficult to jig them. There are some reports of fish being caught in the surf. Offshore- The snapper bite has been fair. If you can find a active rock you can catch your fish. The bottom has been really cold and the fish have been lazy. For the weekend we have a front coming through and the seas are going to pick up. Good luck and tight lines!

(01/22) Hey Capt. Eric here. The weather has been just downright cold. Looks like it may be a nice weekend though. Offshore- The bottom fishing has been good, still a lot of good catches of Snapper and Grouper. Inshore- with the all the cold weather it has pushed the Pompano back. There has been some Pomps being caught on the beaches and behind the inlet. Try the incoming tides. Snook fishing has been slow, just to cold. Big Reds at night in the inlet are always fun. Have a great and safe weekend and just get out and go fishing you never know what might happen.

(01/08) Hey Capt Eric her again, looks like its gonna be another great weekend. The weather should be nice enough to get out there and fish. Offshore the bottom fishing has been good. A lot of Snapper being caught in the 90ft. range. Some Grouper as well. Pinfish and Threadfins will be your best baits. Threadfins have been in the middle of the river. Inshore- Redfish at the mouth of the inlet in the evenings on live bait have been a lot of fun. There is some monsters being caught. Some smaller Trout have been on the flats with the occasional Redfish. Bluefish are still hanging around the inlet as well. (12/31) Happy New Year !!! well hopefully everyone recovered from New year's Eve. Inshore-has been rather slow still. The water temp. has risen in the last week. It was 70 degrees the last I checked. Bluefish are in the mouth of the inlet. Small Jacks have been roaming on the flats. There are a lot of Big Reds in the Inlet especially at night. Pins and Pigs are your best bet. Offshore-The bottom bite was pretty good this past week. A few good Grouper reports. Kingfish have been around 90ft range. Looks like the weather should clean up on Sunday, seas 1-2ft. It should be a good day to get out. Make sure to stop by Whitey's and pick up your fishing needs.
