Representing Orlando, Florida, The Supervillains are bringing their punky blend of roots reggae, ska and rock back to Satellite Beach the first weekend in June. In addition to a horn section, co-founders Dominic Maresco on drums/vocals and Scott “Skart” Suldo on guitar together with Daniel Grundorf on bass build this original blend of sounds that has led to sold out venues nationally. Their largely successful debut album was released in 2006 when fellow reggae rock band Pepper signed The Supervillains to their LAW Records label for their Grow Your Own album. Including Pepper they have shared the stage with numerous influential acts such as Inner Circle, Authority Zero, Reel Big Fish, Fishbone and The Wailers. In the past five years The Supervillains have averaged over 200 shows a year and released five albums, each a prolifically evolved representation of performance and songwriting.
Their latest album Postcards from Paradise was released through Rah Rah Records in January of this year with help from producer Brett Hestla (Framing Hanley, Virgos Merlot.) They have been touring with Gainesville punk band Less Than Jake across the nation and are continuing their tour in support of Postcards from Paradise.
