Hey It’s your good old’ Kapn’ Bone with another insider food review. You know It’s not bragging if it’s True. And this week we were invited up to one of our favorite places in all of Brevard, Rusty’s at the Port. Buddha set up a live feed in the hopes of interviewing one of  longtime local radio personality “Bubba Whoopass Wilson” formally with 104.1. Unfortunately because of a turn in the weather Mr. Whoopass  had to cancel. So you know the drill, waste not, want not and bam this weeks insider food review was born.

With the always lovely Guru Girl’s, Sea Lioness and the bubbly KiKi we commandeered a large section at the bar and went to work. Seeing our beloved server Marie, always smiling and heading our way we knew what was ahead.

Marie took our order and we made the discovery that Sea Lioness and KiKI  never enjoyed raw oysters! In a flash Marie picked, shucked and served two dozen of the freshest little gems you could imagine and  giving the girls a little pointer on topping’s they were all set. Now you check out the video that Buddha made and you will see the true deal. Accompanying the Oysters were crispy chicken wings, cold and hot shrimp and the hottest selling appetizer there  Jumbo Lump Crab Au Gratin.

Sound like a lot of food but when I saw KiKi tear into those hot wings I knew I better fix a plate fast! The hot and cold shrimp were plump and with a bay seasoning, I could not pick a favorite. Rusty’s wings are large and crispy, Garlic Teriyaki or traditional Hot these babies are some of the best in Brevard. Now I never had the pleasure of trying the Jumbo  Lump Crab Au Gratin, but boy was I missing out! It’s no wonder why this is the number one selling appetizer on the menu. Large chunks of lump crab bathed in a creamy four cheese sauce and topped with more cheese and bread crumbs served with a nice loaf of sourdough bread, I don’t know about you but for me it doesn't get any better than this.

Every time we have the pleasure of going to Rusty’s a few things are the same,  they are always busy, they treat us like family, and the food is always off  the chart’s.
With a Happy Hour from 3-6 daily serving a large assortment of beer’s and three wine’s for 1.70, two for one well’s and drink special it’s no wonder why they always’ packed.

We want to thank Rhett and the entire staff at Rusty’s for the good time.
So when your up at the Port don’t waste any time looking for good food, go to Rusty’s and don’t forget to tell them Kapn’ Bone sent you!
