Hey it’s your good old Kapn’ Bone here! Are you ready to go to Pennsylvania?
Searching around Brevard County for the best food, Buddha has done it again! Steagles Pub at 1395 Cypress Avenue is our latest find. A classic Pub with strong roots to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Steagles has that wonderful combination, great food and low and prices.

When you walk into Steagles you are greeted by the owner Mike and just about everyone else in the place! It’s interesting how Steagles was named, it seems that in 1943 with WWII kicking off the NFL was short on players so they merged two teams, The Pittsburgh Steelers and The Philadelphia Eagles and the Steagles were born.

Now for the best part, the food. Mike has perfected the Primanti style cheese steak sandwich. He take a hoagie roll flown in fresh from Amoroso’s a legendary Philadelphia bakery. He then piles it high with center cut prime rib that is so lean and flavorful and with out all the grease that you normally find in a cheese steak sandwich. A couple of slices of provolone. Next comes the onions, peppers and crispy French fries. Topping it off with a healthy portion of sweet cole slaw. This sandwich was designed to be eaten with one hand but I had to use two!

First bite was just unreal, the combination of the cole slaw, meat and fries is something everyone should try. I can’t remember enjoying a cheese steak or any other sandwich like this. Mike also hooked us up with some hot chicken wings, hot and crispy just like we like them. Steagles has eight varieties, a flavor for everyone. I can’t wait to go back and see Mike and the boys. They also donate a percentage of the till to our Wounded Soldiers, just amazing.

So when you want to see an Eagles or Steelers game, hang out with some great people and eat some unbelievable food, go on down to Steagles Pub and don’t forget to tell them Kapn’ Bone sent you!
