The INLET CHARLEYS CONTEST #3 HAS BEEN RE-LOCATED TO PONCE INLET, AUGUST 4
 |
Aloha NCFLers,
Due to a "new" rule that we were unaware of, (no longer can events be run on consecutive weekends @ the same location), The INLET CHARLEYS CONTEST #3 HAS BEEN RE-LOCATED TO PONCE INLET, AUGUST 4. The Rip Curl Grom Search is scheduled for August 11 @ NSB Inlet, so we have to move our event. We are sorry for the inconveinence, and if you know me, you know that my tongue is bleeding right now from biting down on it so hard to keep my opinion to myself (ie. How did NSSA do their Regional event the weekend before we did our Regional event @ NSB Inlet this year?)
If you want to avoid a $10 dollar late fee, sign -up now on the esancfl.org website by clicking on the event to register. Yes, $10 late fee to sign-up on the beach, we have too much to do setting up for the event in the morning than signing surfers up on the beach. Those of you who have been long time members should not have a problem with this because that's how it used to be done, those of you who are new to NCFL will have to get used to signing-up before the event. You have until Wednesday, Midnight, of the week before the event.
DEADLINE for EASTERNS is Monday, July 30th, 2012!!!!!!! Hurry up and get your Entry Form and Fee taken care of if you haven't already!!!!!! The Entry Form is available on the surfesa.org website and/or contact me asap and I can e-mail you the form to download.
Mission Statement:
The Eastern Surfing Association (ESA) is dedicated to the sport of amateur surfing and to the establishment and preservation of free access to a clean shoreline and ocean environment. The ESA is the largest amateur surfing association in the world! The ESA was founded 45 years ago, in 1967. We have 26 districts (NCFL is the 2nd largest), which extend 2,000 miles of coastline, from Maine to the Gulf Coast of Florida, Alabama, and the Great Lakes. The success of past competitors in all walks of life bears testament to the core principals of the ESA. Eleven-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater, 2001 World Champion CJ Hobgood, and four-time World Champions Frieda Zamba and Lisa Anderson, all honed their competitive skills in the ESA. By promoting the pricipals of sportsmanship, competition, and enviromental awareness, the ESA is here to stay and looks forward to the next 45 years of making CHAMPIONS in surfing and in life!
See ya in the water,
Chilly Willey
