STATE PARK TO HOST NIGHT SOUNDS CONCERT SERIES
~Concert will feature Chris Kastle under the moon and stars~
MELBOURNE BEACH – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Sebastian Inlet State Park will host Chris Kastle as part of the Night Sounds concert series on Friday, October 21, 2011.
Hosted by the Friends of Sebastian Inlet State Park, the concert will showcase recording artist Chris Kastle, a musician, storyteller and a songsmith with 12 critically acclaimed solo albums and as half of a duo. With a background in traditional maritime music, Chris Kastle released three albums of music and spoken word in 2011. Her music is a rich blend of original works and those drawn from folk traditions. She plays the guitar, fiddle, mandolin, penny whistle and various percussion instruments. The songs and stories of Chris Kastle have been described as “exquisite” and possessing with “powerful imagery.”
The concert will take place at the pavilions on Coconut Point, located on the south side of Sebastian Inlet. The concert is free with regular park entry fees of $8 per vehicle of up to eight people, $4 for a single occupant and $2 for a pedestrian or bicyclist.
