Hooters Melbourne Wing Review

Kapn Bone Food Review

Weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen! It’s your good old Kapn’ Bone here with this weeks food review . A thing of beauty is a joy for ever Mr. Keats once said and I agree. This week Hooters is our dinning destination. Doing a little research I was amazed at some of the things that I read about Hooters.

From when the first restaurant opened in April 1983 in Clearwater Florida till now it has been in the crosshairs of such agencies as the EEOC for only hiring women. NOW has also been a big detractor for the chain that has grown to 435 locations all over the world.

Do these people have a little to much time on their hands or what! Buddha, young Joey Mac and I were greeted by the entire wait staff as we came into the restaurant, and as we sampled a wide variety of food I noticed that everyone that came in was greeted as well. The mission statement of Hooters is service and comfort, Kelly our Hooters girl proved that by being with us during our whole meal, from opening our blue cheese containers to cleaning up our table, always with a big smile. It’s nice to have that level of service.

Let’s go on to the food. First I was told that going to Hooters for the food was like buying Playboy just to read the articles. Let me tell you how far from the truth that is. We tried three different types of wings. First a Garlic Parmesan. Brought steaming hot, these were cooked they way we like them crispy. Great flavor. We give them a 3.
Onto the Daytona wings suggested by the lovely Kelly. These were lightly fried and then grilled. Excellent BBQ flavor and the grilling was perfect. We give the Daytona wings a 3.5. The last taste test was the Three Mile Island wings. Nice and hot right off the bat with a warm to medium finish. We give the Three Mile Island wings a 3.

We also tried the fried Pickles due to suggestion from Ashli. They were very interesting, crunchy with a tasty dipping sauce. The last item we tried was the Big Fish Sandwich, we had to split the sandwich into three pieces enjoying the flakey fish with plenty of garnishes topped with cheese.

Lastly we tried two of the four desserts that they offer. Traditional Key Lime pie and the Carmel Fudge Cheesecake. Both were delicious. At Hooters they have a menu that has something for everyone from
Salads to Seafood including a full bar.

When was the last time you waited on hand and foot by a beautiful girl? If you have to think about that it’s probably been to long. We want to thank Eve the manager for showing us such a great time and we look forward to the Bikini Contest on May 13th. At 877 South Babcock.

So check out Hooters and tell Kapn’ Bone sent You.
See you next week Kapt’ Bone out.
