The Sea Turtle Preservation Society (STPS)

YesFor immediate release:  The Sea Turtle Preservation Society (STPS) will be holding its monthly meeting on Thursday, April 3rd at 7:30 pm with Guest Speaker Cindy Dolaway.  Cindy Dolaway, an STPS board member, will be speaking on Bestselling author Barbara Kingsolver’s book Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.  The book follows Barbara Kingsolver and her family on their journey away from the industrial-food pipeline to a rural life in which they vow to buy only food raised in their own neighborhood, grow it themselves, or learn to live without it.  The event is free and open to the general public and will be held at the Melbourne Beach Conference Room in the Melbourne Beach Town Hall.   The STPS monthly beach cleanup will be held at Coconut Point Park in Melbourne Beach on Saturday, April 5th at 8:00 am.  Participants are provided with bags and gloves.  The cleanup is open to the public so come help keep our beaches clean for sea turtles and other marine life. For more information on either event people can contact the STPS office at 676-1701.  The Sea Turtle Preservation Society is a non-profit organization that works to save sea turtles through education, rescue, and conservation efforts
