Late July Offshore Florida Fishing Report

Captain Chris Cameron July Fishing Report

Hello and hope all is well, Fishing has been great the last few weeks! The weather has been great too. Here’s the scoop on what’s been going on. Bait has been a day-to-day basis of trying to find it. For the most part it hasn't been that bad. You may need to work a little harder than normal but you should definitely be able to find it and get a net on it. Keep an eye on your bottom machine. They have been as deep as 30-40 feet. Live pogies have been the trick for basically everything.

Kingfish are kind of scattered around, try Pelican, 8A and the local wrecks. Cobia are showing up as well. Same areas. Do some bottom drops and hopefully they come up to the top. I had the cobia following up the live baits on almost every structure. Buck tails and live bait work great for them. Speaking of bottom drops, It has been very good lately. Snapper of all kinds have been chewing as well as grouper and AJ. All we are using is live pogies for everything. The bigger the bait the bigger the fish. If your bottom fishing  don't forget to throw a live pogie out on a spinner. Bonita, jacks and kings are a good chance to bend that rod.

Have a great weekend from your premier fishing guide charter of Cocoa Beach, Port Canaveral, Orlando, Disney Florida area!

Stay safe and good luck!
