Sebastian Inlet Area (08/21 Capt Eric) test more

Sebastian Inlet Area (07/08 Capt Eric) Inshore- well the weather is still as hot as can be. The river fishing is slow. If you are going to fish the flats you better get out there before light. The Inlet has some action to offer. Redfish have been still hanging out and feeding on crabs or live baits. Snook are hammering on the outgoing tides, remember season is closed. Offshore- The water is still pretty more

Sebastian Inlet Area (06/30 Capt Eric) Inshore- Redfish are still inside the inlet with the outgoing tides. Try top water plugs or a live crab. There are rumors of Permit being caught near the Inlet. The bait pods of Thread fins (greenies) have been a little tougher to find. The beach fishing can be good this time of year, look for the bait! Offshore- Kingfish and Barracudas are easily available around more

Lobster Mini Season
Lobster Mini Season posted 08/14
Okay, I think something is wrong with me. After last week’s mini-season and an entire week of good visibility, I’ve found myself at times looking under bushes and curbs for waving lobster antennae. I’ve also been sub-consciously clearing my nose for a descent into the deep. Is something wrong with me? Am I alone in this? Okay, first off, for all you divers out there, the ...
July Fishing Central Fla.
July Fishing Central Fla. posted 07/26
I’ve been working a lot lately at LongDoggers not because I need the money, but because it keeps me in the shade for the hottest part of the day. If I wasn’t working I’d be out there cancerin’ it up under the blazing July sun. My shunning of the sun this summer has helped me catch some pretty nice fish, both inshore and out deep. The full moon bite offshore was insane this ...
Cold water fishing in the summer ?
Cold water fishing in the summer ? posted 07/14
Well, isn't this is weird few weeks for us on the Space Coast? The waves have been awesome, but that water is pretty darn cold! The coldwater upwellings, a result of Ekman transport, the Coriolis effect, and light winds, are invading our waters and making it feel like winter again.      Sure, its nice to cool off in the colder water as a surfer, but if you are ...
Summertime, the livin's easy
Summertime, the livin's easy posted 06/21
It sure is getting hot outside. Not that you wanted to hear me say it and remind you of this month’s electric bills. Hot weather means something to everyone, and to me it means diving and snorkeling. What better way to beat the heat than to jump in the water? The visibility has already been clearing up beautifully from Sebastian all the way to the Keys. Why sit in a hot boat all day getting ...

Dolphin be here mon posted 04/13
First, thanks CFOA and FSFA for supporting and organizing this tagging opportunity. It was a great experience and I sure learned a lot about dolphin. Big thanks to the scientist of the day Don Hammond for his expertise and passion for them fish. That guy sure is dedicated to learning everything there is to know about the dolphin and sharing it with anyone who will listen. The purpose of this trip ...
Springtime!
Springtime! posted 04/04
Who doesn't love Spring? Seriously? It starts getting warmer, the birds be singing, the bees be buzzin', and the fish be bitin'! As we surfers peel off our wetsuits and come out of hibernation, so do the fish. Warmer air temperatures heat the surface of the water and draw our favorite pelagic species to the surface. The dolphin fishing was pretty crappy in March and I can attest. We tried ...
