Men’s Nike US Open of Surfing Round of 24 is ON

HUNTINGTON BEACH, California/USA (Friday, August 3, 2012) – The ASP PRIME Nike US Open of Surfing has returned to Huntington Beach Pier for the seventh consecutive day and today’s proceedings are slated to begin with men’s Round of 24 competition before moving into the Women’s Quarterfinals.
The 2012 Nike US Open of Surfing, the sixth of eight ASP Prime rated events on this season’s calendar, has drawn almost the entire ASP WCT field in search of the massive points, heightened prize purse and prestigious Nike US Open of Surfing title and the action has been non-stop from the event’s.
Up first this morning will be Orange County surfers Tanner Gudauskas (San Clemente, CA), 24, against Tim Reyes (Huntington Beach, CA), 30, in the opening Round of 24 heat.
